Research and Consultancy

In order to ensure that its training and education programmes are 'cutting-edge', ICPL undertakes consultancy and research for governments and NGOs. Its students also undertake a wide range of research as part of their academic studies.

Partnerships

ICPL's mission is to work in partnership with organisations and institutions world-wide to safeguard and enhance both natural and cultural resources, within viable programmes of social and economic development.

With just a small but highly dedicated core team, ICPL believes strongly that effective partnership-building in the regions is an essential pre-requisite for sustainable programmes, whether the Centre is working with education and training institutions, government agencies or other NGOs.

Networking

In addition to institutional and organisational partnerships, ICPL has also developed a network of Associates around the world, including both professionals and academics, many of whom hold key positions in the professional arena and who are able offer a wide range of experience and expertise to support the work of the Centre. The contribution of these Associates is fundamental to the ICPL's activities. Members of ICPL's core team also participate in international networks such as those of the World Commission on Protected Areas of IUCN and UNESCO.
